A Prayer to the Overman

O supreme lord on earth
We have instituted small temples
Of you
In a billion hearts

In their daily powerlessness
In the dried wells of their bodies and spirits
They have found
An immense will to survive and revive
By a single drop of your precious virility

Look how they tend and attend to
Your instrument of power

Milk and what not

They have erected it for you
And themselves

And they bathe in its sweat
And musk

Cameras, lights
Chants, blood
And fire

And a blast – a shower
Of power
And desire

The purgatory

Between life and death
The lost sense of physicality
All that is solid melts away
An indifference of pain and pleasure

Lo! Rises the mark, the symbol
The flag
The anthem
And the stream of oneness

Oh Lord!
